Virtual Teacher for the Visually Impaired in Minnesota

We’re on the lookout for a friendly and skilled Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to join our team remotely. If you’re passionate about making education accessible for students with visual impairments and prefer working from home, we’d love to hear from you!

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Provide remote teaching and support to students with visual impairments.
• Develop and follow individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student.
• Use VocoVision to deliver engaging lessons and support online.
• Adapt teaching materials to fit each student’s needs.
• Assess and track students’ progress and adjust plans as needed.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, families, and other professionals to support students.
• Keep detailed records of student progress.

What We’re Looking For:

• Degree in Education for the Visually Impaired or a related field.
• Valid Minnesota teaching license with endorsement in Visual Impairments.
• Experience with or a willingness to learn VocoVision.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• Enthusiasm for helping students with visual impairments succeed.

Nice to Have:

• Experience teaching visually impaired students in a virtual setting.
• Familiarity with assistive technology and accessible educational tools.
• Additional certifications or specialized training in visual impairments.
