Location: Remote (Connecticut-based candidates preferred)
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our remote team and make a difference in the lives of students across Connecticut.
Job Description:
As a Fully Remote Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs. You will work closely with students, parents, and other educational professionals to create an engaging and supportive virtual learning environment. This role requires strong communication skills, a passion for education, and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the unique needs of each student.
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Provide virtual instruction and support to students, adapting teaching methods and materials to accommodate various learning styles and abilities.
• Collaborate with parents, guardians, and other educational professionals to ensure the successful implementation of IEPs and support student progress.
• Monitor and assess student performance, providing regular feedback and making adjustments to instructional strategies as needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents and school administrators.
• Participate in virtual meetings, professional development, and training sessions to stay current with best practices and educational technology.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field
• Valid Connecticut Special Education teaching certification.
• Proven experience working with students with special needs in a classroom or virtual setting.
• Strong proficiency with online teaching platforms and educational technology.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
• Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
