Remote in Bethel, AK Schools - Deaf / Hard of Hearing Specialist 09/08 Quick Apply

Deaf and Hard of Hearing teachers are responsible for providing technical assistance, direct instruction, providing assessments, plan instructions as needed to promote student mastery of prerequisite skills and knowledge, and review resources including district core materials. You will also be responsible for supervising the work of specially trained aides.

I have a fantastic school in the state of Alaska that is looking for the perfect fit to join their team. The right person will have at least 2 years of in-school experience, a Master's Degree specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing, and a state teaching license with DHH credentials. This is a full time position for the entire 222/23 school year.

Position Description:

  • 100% Virtual 
  • Must be able to start ASAP which finished with all onboarding steps
  • End date: June 2023
  • Part-time
    • 10 hours per week
  • Must be able to work Monday and/or Tuesday starting at 8:30am AKDT. The schedule may sometimes start at 8:50am AKDT


Job Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Education Specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing
  • 2 years of teaching experience
  • Alaska teaching license with DHH credential
  • Teletherapy experience a plus
