We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Virtual Teacher of the Deaf to join our team and support students in Georgia. This role offers the flexibility of remote work while making a significant impact on students' educational experiences.

 


Position Overview:

As a Full-Time Virtual Teacher of the Deaf, you will work remotely to provide specialized instruction and support to deaf and hard-of-hearing students in Georgia. You will develop and deliver engaging virtual lessons, create individualized education plans, and collaborate with families and educational staff to ensure the success and well-being of your students.

 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Instruction: Deliver high-quality virtual instruction tailored to the needs of deaf and hard-of-hearing students.
  • Assessment: Conduct assessments and evaluations to monitor student progress and adapt instructional methods as needed.
  • IEP Development: Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with parents, students, and school staff.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with parents, school counselors, and other educators to create a supportive learning environment.
  • Resource Management: Utilize and adapt educational resources and technology to enhance learning experiences for students.

 


Qualifications:

  • Certification: Valid Teacher of the Deaf certification in Georgia.
  • Experience: Proven experience working with deaf and hard-of-hearing students, preferably in a virtual or remote setting.
  • Skills: Strong proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and familiarity with deaf culture.
  • Technology: Comfort with virtual teaching platforms and educational technology.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage students and build strong relationships remotely.
