Virtual Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Teacher

VocoVision is working with a school district in Ohio seeking a remote Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher for itinerant services. The selected teacher will receive onboarding and support from VocoVision's technical and clinical teams. The teacher will be responsible for providing specialized instruction and consult services for the student.


Overview:

  • One student
  • 1-2 hours/week
  • Fully remote
  • 1099 contract

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or a related field.
  • Valid Ohio teaching certification with specialization in Deaf and Hard of Hearing Education.
  • Prior experience working with students with hearing impairments, preferably in an online or remote teaching environment.
  • Strong understanding of Deaf culture, American Sign Language (ASL), and assistive technologies used by individuals with hearing impairments.
