Fully Remote -North Carolina School Psychologist
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Virtual School Psychologist to join our team, providing exceptional mental health support and educational services to students in North Carolina. As a Virtual School Psychologist, you will have the opportunity to work remotely, utilizing modern technology to connect with students, parents, and educational staff, and make a positive impact on their well-being and academic success.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify students' strengths and areas of concern.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school administrators to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Provide virtual counseling and therapeutic interventions to address social-emotional issues, behavioral concerns, and academic challenges.
- Offer guidance and support to parents and educators on creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Assess and address potential learning disabilities or developmental disorders, making appropriate referrals for further evaluations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop strategies for improving students' academic performance and overall mental health.
- Maintain accurate records of assessments, interventions, and progress monitoring.
Qualifications:
- Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
- Valid North Carolina state certification as a School Psychologist.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a School Psychologist, preferably with experience in virtual or remote settings.
- Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and procedures.
- Familiarity with virtual communication platforms and technology tools for remote assessment and counseling.
- Empathy, compassion, and the ability to provide culturally responsive services to diverse student populations.
