Job Description:
As a TVI at VocoVision, you'll provide virtual instruction to students with visual impairments. You'll create personalized learning plans, collaborate with other professionals, and use technology to help students succeed academically and socially. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work from home while making a positive impact.
Responsibilities:
- Provide virtual one-on-one and small group instruction to students with visual impairments.
- Assess students' needs and create tailored learning plans.
- Work with parents and school staff to support students' progress.
- Develop accessible learning materials and use assistive technology.
- Participate in IEP meetings when needed.
- Keep accurate records of student progress.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education with a focus on Visual Impairments (or related field).
- Valid TVI certification in Georgia (or ability to obtain).
- Experience working with students with visual impairments.
- Comfort with using technology for online learning.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with virtual learning or teletherapy.
- Knowledge of assistive technology for visual impairments.
- Familiarity with Georgia state educational standards.
