Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Virtual Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher to be part of our inclusive network. As a specialized educator, you'll play a vital role in providing virtual support and tailored instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing, empowering them to thrive in their educational journey.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize virtual platforms and technology to deliver engaging and accessible lessons for students with hearing challenges.
- Create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that cater to each student's unique needs and learning styles.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other educators to ensure seamless communication and support.
- Offer support and resources to classroom teachers to ensure an inclusive learning environment.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements and best practices in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education.
Qualifications:
- A Master's degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or a related field.
- Relevant teaching certification or licensure for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Education.
- Proficient in using virtual teaching platforms and technology for remote instruction.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students and their families.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
