Job Type: Full-Time (37.5 hours), Remote, 1099 Contract

We are in search of an experienced Special Education Teacher to work for a Vermont School District for the 2023/2024 school year. As a Remote Pennsylvania Special Education Teacher, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students with diverse learning needs from the comfort of your own home. This is a full-time, remote position that requires a commitment to providing high-quality education and support to students in the school setting.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs, in accordance with state and federal guidelines
Conduct assessments to identify students' strengths, weaknesses, and learning goals
Adapt instructional materials and teaching strategies to meet the unique needs of each student
Provide direct instruction and support to students through virtual platforms
Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive and inclusive learning environment
Monitor student progress, collect data, and adjust teaching strategies as needed
Provide ongoing communication and support to parents/guardians regarding student progress and individualized interventions

Qualifications:

Vermont Special Education Teaching Certification
Master's degree in Special Education or a related field
Two years of experience working with students with diverse learning needs
Strong knowledge of special education laws and regulations, including IDEA and ADA
Familiarity with virtual teaching platforms and technology tools for remote instruction
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Passionate about providing high-quality education and support to students with special needs
