Minnesota Virtual Special Education Teacher

Location: Minnesota

We are looking for a Special Education Teacher to work remotely and provide exceptional educational support and instruction to students in a Minnesota School District.

Your role will involve delivering engaging virtual lessons, assessing students' progress, developing IEPs, and providing ongoing feedback and support.

Employment Type: Full-Time, Remote, 1099 Contract

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
• Minnesota Special Education Teaching certification.
• Two years working as a Special Education Teacher.
• Strong understanding of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Familiarity with various assistive technologies and adaptive teaching strategies.
• Passionate about creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students with diverse learning needs.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with parents, general education teachers, and support staff.
• Create and deliver effective, engaging, and accessible virtual lessons that align with curriculum standards and IEP goals.
• Assess and monitor student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and timely updates to students and their families.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes students' academic, social, and emotional growth.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues through virtual meetings, emails, and phone calls.
• Collaborate with the school's multidisciplinary team to address students' specific learning challenges and implement appropriate interventions.
