Now Hiring: Virtual Sign Language Interpreter, Virginia

We are looking for a dedicated and proficient Remote Sign Language Interpreter to support students in our online school across Virginia. The ideal candidate will enable effective communication for deaf and hard-of-hearing students by interpreting spoken language into sign language and vice versa within a virtual classroom setting.

Essential Qualifications:

• Certification in American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation or a related qualification.
• Experience as an interpreter in educational environments is strongly preferred.
• Deep understanding of deaf culture and the communication needs of students.
• Familiarity with online communication platforms and technology.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and educational staff.

• A technical assessment will be required to ensure sufficient internet speed, reliable Wi-Fi, and Zoom capabilities for online sessions.
