A school district in Maryland needs a tele-therapist to interview now and work for the rest of the school year. This is a full-time role and will work with a mild moderate caseload of K - 8 students. Part-time applicants are welcome to apply as well.

Requirements:

• ASHA CCC’s
• 2 years of classroom-based experience (some exceptions apply)
• Active Maryland License
• Out of state applicants will need an active license in the state in which they live
• Applicants must be ok with 1099 compensation and obtain liability insurance.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluates and assesses the student’s functional status to identify and determine needs for speech/language therapy.
• Evaluates and assesses the student’s functional status to identify and determine needs for speech/language therapy.
• Develops individualized education plans for students receiving speech/language therapy services and implements therapy sessions that target IEP goals.
• Chooses appropriate activities for developing the student’s speech, voice, fluency, and language skills.
• Instructs students on how to monitor their own speech and provides ways to practice skills. 
• Monitors student progress, reevaluates IEP objectives, and adjusts delivery of speech/language services as appropriate. 
• Conferences with parents/guardians and provides them with support and information regarding their child.
