About the Role:
VocoVision is on the lookout for a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a school district in the Forest Grove area for the upcoming school year. We encourage candidates with school experience to apply soon, as the district is eager to fill this position quickly!
Note: Residency in Oregon is not required, but applicants must hold valid licenses for both their home state and Oregon.
Position Highlights:
- Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week)
- Student Age Range: Grades K-8
- Caseload Size: Fewer than 70 students, focusing on case management (IEPs and evaluations) and SLPA supervision
- Disability Types: Standard caseload without specialized programs
- Hourly Rate: $49-$51, paid weekly
- Contract Status: Independent contractor
- Insurance Requirement: Professional liability insurance must be secured upon hiring
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct remote assessments and evaluations for speech, voice, hearing, and language disorders.
- Design customized intervention programs to cater to students’ communication, language development, articulation, and social communication needs.
- Collaborate with educators and school staff to implement effective interventions.
Qualifications:
- Experience Required: Minimum of two years in a school-based setting.
- Licensure:
- Valid Oregon Speech-Language Pathologist License is mandatory.
- Certifications:
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).
- Background Checks: Current state clearances, including fingerprints, TB testing if applicable.
