Part-time K-12 Remote Pediatric Psychiatrist Job in Cheyenne, WY

VocoVision is currently accepting applications for a remote Pediatric Psychiatrist position for this ongoing 2023-24 school year in the Cheyenne, WY area. This position will treat you as your own independent contractor, meaning you ll have the opportunity to schedule your hours all from the comfort of your home. For further consideration, we require all contractors to have a minimum of two years of previous school experience within the past five years.

Position Details

  • 1099 independent contracting structure
  • K-12 caseload (Ages 5-21)
  • Part-time expected hours (see below for more details)
  • We work with a Zoom Plus application (HIPAA/FERPA compliant)
  • We have multiple needs across different districts with different caseloads


School Hours: 8:00 to 3:30 PM local time

  • 20-30 total direct/indirect hours per week
  • You can complete any indirect hours at your own time.


Requirements

  • Hold a Doctorate's in Medicine - Psychiatry.
  • Possess a Pediatric Psychiatrist license in Wyoming.
    • PRN or MD licenses are acceptable.
  • Experience in prescribing medications to students.
  • Experience with evaluations and psychiatric assessments.
  • IEP experience is preferred.
  • Maintain professional liability insurance coverage as an independent contractor.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct remote psychatric assessments to evaluate the mental and emotional well-being of students.
  • Diagnose mental health disorders based on evaluations and consultations.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans for students with mental health concerns.
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other school staff to create comprehensive support strategies.
  • Provide remote psychotherapy and counseling services to students.
  • Prescribe and manage medications in collaboration with parents and other healthcare providers.
  • Monitor the effectivity of prescribed medications.
  • Advocate for the mental health needs of students in the school system.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, treatment plans, and interventions through Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
