Part Time School Counselor in Nevada. Independent Contractor 1099 Position.

Virtual/Teletherapy School Counselor

We are seeking a licensed school counselor to join our team as a virtual counselor to provide counseling services to our students in Nevada. The successful candidate will work remotely to provide individual and group counseling to students who are experiencing emotional, behavioral, and academic issues.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions with students remotely on a regular basis
• Develop and implement programs to support student academic success, social-emotional development, and mental health
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student success
• Conduct assessments and make appropriate referrals for additional services as needed
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records
• Participate in virtual staff meetings and training sessions

Requirements:

• Master's degree in school counseling or related field
• Nevada licensure as a school counselor
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a school counselor
• Ability to work effectively with students, families, teachers, and administrators remotely
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in counseling practice

VOCO Requirements:

• Must have license
• At least two years of school experience
• Home computer with high internet speed 
• Must be tech savvy (we do have training for the software!) 
• Must provide your own liability insurance and be comfortable with being a 1099 contractor
