VocoVision is seeking a dedicated and passionate Part-Time Virtual Teacher of the Visually Impaired to join their network and service a school in North Carolina for the 2023-2024 school year.

Responsibilities:

• Providing online instructional support and individualized learning experiences to students with visual impairments.
• Developing and implementing virtual lesson plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
• Conducting assessments to gauge student progress and adapting teaching strategies accordingly.
• Collaborating with classroom teachers, parents/guardians, and other educational professionals to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
• Utilizing assistive technology and specialized tools to enhance the learning experience for visually impaired students.
• Promoting inclusive practices and fostering a positive and respectful learning environment for all students.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, Visual Impairments, or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification/license in Special Education or Visual Impairments (if applicable in your location).
• Familiarity with assistive technology and adaptive tools used in virtual learning settings.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues virtually.
• Tech-savvy and proficient in using online platforms and virtual classroom software.
