Job Description

We are currently seeking a Virtual Sign Language Interpreter to support K-12 students in one of our partnering Alaskan school districts. While you'll work with students across various age groups, the focus will be on older students. This is a full-time, fully remote position on a 1099 contract basis. Compensation will vary depending on your experience and the district’s budget.

Key Qualifications

Experience: At least 2 years of experience working in school systems is preferred.
Certification: Must hold a 3.8 EIPA score or higher, or BEI certification.
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in ASL or Educational Interpreting is required.
Tech Skills: Candidates must pass a tech screening to ensure proficiency in Zoom, Wi-Fi speed, and general technical capabilities.

VocoVision Contractor Requirements

As a 1099 contractor, you'll need to secure general and professional liability insurance.
Must be comfortable working independently under a 1099 contract arrangement.
