Virtual/Teletherapy School Counselor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our school as a school counselor. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing personal, academic, and career counseling services to students in grades K-12.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling services to students

• Develop and implement prevention and intervention programs

• Conduct classroom guidance lessons on a variety of topics

• Assist students with post-secondary planning and college applications

• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student success

• Maintain accurate records and documentation

• Participate in professional development opportunities

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in counseling or related field

• Valid Nevada teaching license with endorsement in counseling

• Experience working in a school setting preferred

• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff

• Knowledge of current counseling theories, techniques, and strategies

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

VOCO Requirements:

• Must have license
• At least two years of school experience
• Home computer with high internet speed 
• Must be tech savvy (we do have training for the software!) 
• Must provide your own liability insurance and be comfortable with being a 1099 contractor
