Full-time Remote School Counselor Needed in Colorado

To further our mission, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced School Counselor to join our team in a full-time capacity.

Job Description:

• 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri
• Primarily mental health counseling for students on IEPS
  • approx. 30 students for direct services
• Sporadic need for evals (not primary focus)
• Assisting with the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Offering guidance and resources to help students make informed decisions about their educational and career paths.
• Collaborating with teachers, parents, and administrators to create a supportive learning environment.
• Conducting virtual group counseling sessions and workshops.
• Promoting a positive school culture through initiatives and programs that enhance the well-being of our students.
• Maintaining accurate and confidential records of counseling sessions and progress.

Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's degree in School Counseling or a related field.
• Valid School Counselor certification in the state of Colorado.
• Proven experience in school counseling, preferably in a virtual or remote setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially in a virtual environment.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a caseload of students effectively.
• Familiarity with counseling techniques and strategies for a diverse student population.
• Knowledge of Colorado educational policies and procedures.
• Tech-savvy with the ability to use virtual counseling platforms and tools.
