Remote School Social Worker for Michigan Schools - Full-Time Position
Position Type: Full-Time, 1099 Contract
Start Date: January - May 2025
Caseload: PreK-12th Grade
Pay Range: $43-48/hr (DOE)
Overview:
VocoVision is looking for a dedicated and compassionate School Social Worker to provide remote social work services to students in Michigan. This role offers the flexibility of working from home while making a meaningful impact on students' social, emotional, and behavioral well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Provide virtual counseling and support services to PreK-12 students.
- Develop and implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) for students in need of emotional or behavioral support.
- Assess students' social-emotional needs through virtual platforms and track their progress.
- Work closely with educators, parents, and administrators to create individualized support plans.
- Participate in virtual IEP meetings and contribute to discussions regarding student progress.
- Document all services and interactions in accordance with school and state requirements.
- Offer guidance to school staff and parents on strategies to support students' emotional development.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) required.
- School Social Worker approval by the Michigan Department of Education or temporary approval (310 form).
- Active Social Work license from the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA).
- Minimum of two years of experience in a school setting preferred.
- Virtual service delivery experience is a plus, but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using virtual platforms for service delivery.
- Reliable high-speed internet and a personal computer.
