Remote School Social Worker for Michigan Schools - Full-Time Position

Position Type: Full-Time, 1099 Contract
Start Date: January - May 2025
Caseload: PreK-12th Grade
Pay Range: $43-48/hr (DOE)

Overview:
VocoVision is looking for a dedicated and compassionate School Social Worker to provide remote social work services to students in Michigan. This role offers the flexibility of working from home while making a meaningful impact on students' social, emotional, and behavioral well-being.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide virtual counseling and support services to PreK-12 students.
  • Develop and implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) for students in need of emotional or behavioral support.
  • Assess students' social-emotional needs through virtual platforms and track their progress.
  • Work closely with educators, parents, and administrators to create individualized support plans.
  • Participate in virtual IEP meetings and contribute to discussions regarding student progress.
  • Document all services and interactions in accordance with school and state requirements.
  • Offer guidance to school staff and parents on strategies to support students' emotional development.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) required.
  • School Social Worker approval by the Michigan Department of Education or temporary approval (310 form).
  • Active Social Work license from the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA).
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a school setting preferred.
  • Virtual service delivery experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using virtual platforms for service delivery.
  • Reliable high-speed internet and a personal computer.
