Remote SLP Job in Texas

Vocovision is urgently searching for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to work for a school district in Texas for the 2023/2024 school year. As an SLP, you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication disorders in school-aged children. Your expertise will help students develop and improve their speech, language, and social communication skills, enabling them to succeed academically and socially.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
• License to practice Speech-Language Pathology in Texas
• ASHA CCC s
• Two years of experience working in schools as an SLP
• Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders and their impact on academic performance
• Familiarity with assessments and intervention techniques for a wide range of communication disorders

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' communication needs
• Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' academic progress and inclusion in the classroom
• Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of students' educational goals
• Offer guidance and support to teachers and staff regarding communication strategies and accommodations
• Stay updated on the latest research, methodologies, and best practices in speech-language pathology
