VocoVision is seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Education Teacher to provide remote educational services to students in Oregon. This full-time, 1099 contract position offers the flexibility of working from home while making a positive impact on students with diverse learning needs.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Special Education
• Active Oregon SPED certification (preferably K-12)
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting
• Proficiency in using Zoom and other digital platforms for remote teaching
• Strong knowledge of individualized education programs (IEPs) and special education laws
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a virtual environment

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs via remote platforms
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Assess students' skills to determine their needs and monitor their progress
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team
• Adapt general education curriculum to meet the needs of students with disabilities
• Employ various teaching strategies and technologies to engage students in a virtual setting
• Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on students' progress
• Stay current with best practices in special education and distance learning
