VocoVision is seeking a skilled and compassionate Special Education Teacher to provide remote educational services to students in Virginia. This full-time, 1099 contract position allows you to work from the comfort of your home while supporting students with special needs in their academic journey.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Special Education
• Active Virginia SPED certification (preferably K-12)
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting
• Proficiency in telehealth platforms, particularly Zoom, for remote teaching
• In-depth understanding of special education laws and IEP development
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work autonomously and adapt to various student needs in a virtual environment

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs through online platforms
• Create and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Conduct assessments to identify students' needs and monitor their academic progress
• Work collaboratively with general education teachers, parents, and other educational professionals
• Modify general education curriculum to accommodate students with disabilities
• Utilize various digital tools and teaching methods to engage students in virtual learning
• Keep accurate records and generate reports on student performance
• Stay updated on best practices in special education and online instruction techniques
