Remote Special Education Teaching Position, South Carolina

Job Type: Full-Time (37.5 hours), Remote, 1099 Contract

We are in search of multiple Special Education Teachers to work for a South Carolina School District for the remainder of the 2024/2025 school year. These are full-time, remote positions that requires a commitment to providing high-quality education and support to students in the school setting.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs, in accordance with state and federal guidelines
• Conduct assessments to identify students' strengths, weaknesses, and learning goals
• Adapt instructional materials and teaching strategies to meet the unique needs of each student
• Provide direct instruction and support to students through virtual platforms
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive and inclusive learning environment
• Monitor student progress, collect data, and adjust teaching strategies as needed
• Provide ongoing communication and support to parents/guardians regarding student progress and individualized interventions

Qualifications:

• South Carolina Special Education Teaching Certification
• Master's degree in Special Education or a related field 
• Two years of experience working with students with diverse learning needs
• Strong knowledge of special education laws and regulations, including IDEA and ADA
• Familiarity with virtual teaching platforms and technology tools for remote instruction
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Passionate about providing high-quality education and support to students with special needs
