Position: 1099 Remote School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist
Contract Type: Independent Contractor (1099)
Location: Remote (work from home)
Availability: Full-time or Part-time (based on caseload)
Responsibilities:
- Conduct virtual assessments to meticulously evaluate the speech and language capabilities of students.
- Skillfully develop and execute personalized education plans (IEPs) tailored to address the distinct needs and goals of each student.
- Deliver impactful virtual therapy sessions, focusing on speech and language disorders, within a school setting.
- Foster effective collaboration with educators, parents, and peers to ensure steady student progress and adeptly address communication challenges.
- Maintain meticulous and up-to-date documentation of student advancement and session notes.
- Harness technology adeptly to create engaging and interactive virtual therapy sessions.
- Remain current with the latest research, methodologies, and best practices within the realm of speech-language pathology.
- Adhere rigorously to all pertinent legal, ethical, and professional guidelines.
Requirements:
- Possess a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a duly accredited program.
- Maintain an active license/certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Michigan.
- Preference for ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) certification.
- Demonstrate a substantial minimum of 2 years of experience in school-based settings.
- Exhibit a keen familiarity with remote therapy platforms and relevant technology.
- Excel in both written and verbal communication skills.
- Showcase autonomy in managing time, meeting deadlines, and working independently.
