VocoVision has partnered with a school district in Maine who is looking to contract out a Speech-Language Pathologist position.

Employment Type:
- Remainder of the 2025 school year
- 37.5 hours a week (Part time is considered)
- Must have active license in Maine
- Mild to moderate caseload
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree (CCC’s)
- Effective communication skills in English.
- Pass criminal background check.
- At least 2 years of recent school’s experience.
- Basic Technology skills(will be using Zoom)
- Professional Liability Insurance will be needed
General Duties:
- Under general direction, identifies, evaluates, and prepares remedial activities for student who exhibit speech-language disorders; participates in the development of individualized goals and objectives; and evaluates student progress all in a virtual environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Evaluation: Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
- Individualized Education Plans (IEPs): Collaborating with educators and parents to develop and implement effective IEPs tailored to each student’s needs.
- Teletherapy Sessions: Delivering therapy sessions using telepractice tools to improve students' speech articulation, language comprehension, and overall communication skills.
- Progress Monitoring: Regularly monitoring and documenting student progress, adjusting intervention strategies as necessary.
- Consultation and Collaboration: Providing guidance and support to teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to enhance students’ communication abilities within the school environment.
Requirements:
- Education and Certification: A master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) and appropriate state licensure/certification.
- Experience: Prior experience in educational settings or with pediatric populations is often preferred.
- Technological Proficiency: Comfort and proficiency with teletherapy platforms and online tools for remote communication and documentation.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, teachers, and administrators remotely.
