Position: Remote School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist
Contract Type: Independent Contractor (1099)
Location: Remote (work from home)
Availability: Full-time or Part-time (based on caseload)

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct virtual assessments to evaluate students' speech and language abilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's specific needs and goals.
  • Deliver virtual therapy sessions to students in a school setting, focusing on speech and language disorders.
  • Collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and colleagues to facilitate student progress and address communication challenges.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and session notes.
  • Utilize technology proficiently to engage students during virtual therapy sessions.
  • Stay informed on the latest research, techniques, and best practices in speech-language pathology.
  • Adhere to all relevant legal, ethical, and professional guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Active license/certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Preference for ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) certification.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in school-based settings proffered.
  • Familiarity with remote therapy platforms and technology.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and meet deadlines.
  • Genuine passion for helping students overcome speech and language challenges.
