Position Overview:

VocoVision is currently seeking a passionate and qualified Teacher of the Visually Impaired to join our dynamic network in Washington. This fully remote role allows you to maintain a healthy work-life balance while making a profound difference in the lives of K-12 students. As a Teacher of the Visually Impaired, you will provide essential teletherapy services to students, helping them develop critical skills in braille, independent living, and core subjects. Our team is here to support you throughout the hiring process and beyond, ensuring you feel valued and fulfilled in your role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging teletherapy sessions to K-12 students with visual impairments.
• Instruct students in core subjects, braille literacy, and independent living skills.
• Collaborate with families and educational staff to create tailored learning plans for each student.

Job Details:

• Start Date: Immediate
• Schedule: Part-Time
• Caseload: K-12 students

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Education for Visually Impaired Students.
• Valid Washington State Teaching Certification in Visual Education.
• Experience in virtual teaching is preferred but not required.

Requirements:

• Must have your own liability insurance and be comfortable operating as an independent contractor.
• Access to a reliable home computer with high-speed internet.
• Completion of a basic technology screening is necessary.
