Overview:
VocoVision is collaborating with a school district in the Forest Grove area to find a dedicated remote Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the upcoming school year. Candidates with previous school experience are encouraged to apply as the district is eager to fill this position promptly!
Important: Applicants do not need to reside in Oregon but must hold licenses in both their home state and Oregon.
Position Details:
- Employment Type: Full-time (40 hours/week)
- Caseload Age: Grades K-8
- Caseload Size: Less than 70, focused on case management (IEPs, evaluations) and SLPA supervision
- Caseload Disabilities: Standard types, no specialized programs
- Compensation: Hourly rate of $49-$51/hr, paid weekly
- Role Type: Independent contractor
- Insurance Requirement: Professional liability insurance must be obtained upon hiring
Responsibilities:
- Conduct remote evaluations, assessments, and diagnoses of speech, voice, hearing, and language disorders.
- Develop tailored intervention programs to meet the individual needs of students in communication, language development, articulation, and social communication.
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to implement interventions effectively.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of two years in a school-based setting required.
- Licensure:
- Valid Oregon Speech-Language Pathologist License
- Certifications:
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Clearances: Current state clearances (including fingerprints, TB testing if applicable, and background checks).
