Position: Remote Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)
Employment Type: 1099 Contract
Start Date: Immediate & 2024-2025 School Year Available
Caseload: K-12 (specific assignments provided in the interview)
Pay Range: $42-50 per hour
Location: Work from home – Fully Remote

We are actively seeking a certified Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) to work remotely with K-12 students in Pennsylvania. Job Responsibilities:

• Provide virtual instructional services for students with visual impairments.
• Adapt and modify classroom materials to enhance accessibility.
• Assist teachers in creating inclusive learning environments.
• Offer consultative services to staff and families, ensuring appropriate accommodations.
• Develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and participate in virtual meetings.
• Utilize assistive technology and Braille instruction, as needed.
• Monitor student progress and document services in compliance with state and district requirements.

Qualifications:

• Active Pennsylvania TVI Certification (or ability to obtain before the start date).
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Visual Impairments, or related field.
• Minimum of two years of experience working with visually impaired students.
• Familiarity with Braille, large print, and assistive technology tools.
• Experience in virtual learning platforms preferred but not required.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Must have PA clearances required for working in school settings.
