We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Virtual School Psychologist to join our team in providing exceptional mental health support and educational services to students in the state of Utah.
As a Virtual School Psychologist, you will work remotely, utilizing modern technology to connect with students, parents, and educational staff, offering guidance and assistance to promote their overall well-being and academic success.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify students' strengths and areas of concern.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school administrators to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Offer guidance and support to parents and educators on creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Assess and address potential learning disabilities or developmental disorders, making appropriate referrals for further evaluations.
- Conduct risk assessments and intervene in crisis situations, ensuring student safety.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop strategies for improving students' academic performance and overall mental health.
- Keep accurate records of assessments, interventions, and progress monitoring.
Qualifications:
- Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
- Valid Utah state certification as a School Psychologist.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a School Psychologist, preferably with experience in virtual or remote settings.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Empathy, compassion, and the ability to provide culturally responsive services to diverse student populations.
