School Psychologist - Illinois (Remote)

Overview

VocoVision is seeking a qualified School Psychologist to provide virtual services to students throughout Illinois. This remote position offers an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on students' lives while enjoying a flexible work environment.

Position Details

Location: Fully Remote (Illinois-based)
Contract Type: Full-time, 1099 Independent Contractor
Schedule: Flexible within school hours, including time for indirect services

Requirements

Master's or Specialist Degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychology endorsement
Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a School Psychologist in school settings
Proficiency in telepsychology delivery and familiarity with online platforms (e.g., Zoom)
Strong problem-solving and adaptability skills
Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal
Capacity to work independently and collaborate effectively in a virtual team environment
Cultural competence to serve Illinois' diverse student population

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations via teleassessment
Develop and implement individualized intervention plans for students with diverse needs
Conduct virtual counseling sessions and provide support services to students
Foster collaboration with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and progress
Actively participate in virtual IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational plans
Adapt assessment and intervention strategies to optimize effectiveness in an online environment
Stay informed about Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) requirements and advancements in school psychology
Provide culturally responsive services to Illinois' diverse student population
Adhere to all ISBE guidelines and regulations for special education services
Contribute to the implementation of Illinois' Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework
Participate in professional development activities to maintain PEL and stay current with best practices
