Virtual School Psychologist
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate virtual school psychologist to provide online counseling, assessments, and other psychological services to K-12 students in a remote learning environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing mental health and behavioral support, working collaboratively with school administrators, teachers, and parents to identify and address student needs, and delivering virtual counseling sessions using a variety of technology tools.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct virtual assessments and evaluations to identify and diagnose mental health and behavioral issues in students
- Provide individual and group counseling services to students through virtual platforms
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) for students
- Monitor and track student progress and provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure student success
- Educate parents and school staff on mental health and behavioral issues and provide resources and recommendations for support
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of all services provided and comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards
- Participate in professional development opportunities and stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in school psychology
Requirements:
- Master's degree in School Psychology or a related field
- Valid state license/certification as a school psychologist
- At least 2 years of experience working as a school psychologist in a K-12 setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable using virtual platforms and technology tools for assessments and counseling sessions
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including students, parents, teachers, and administrators
- Understanding of and adherence to ethical standards and legal requirements in school psychology
