Description:

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Virtual School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Virginia. As a Virtual School SLP, you will play a vital role in providing speech and language therapy services to students in our virtual learning environment. You will collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to address the communication needs of our students and support their academic success.

 

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct assessments to identify students' speech and language disorders or delays.

2. Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address students' communication goals.

3. Provide virtual speech and language therapy sessions to students using evidence-based practices.

4. Collaborate with educators, parents, and other team members to integrate speech and language goals into students' educational plans.

5. Monitor and document students' progress towards their communication goals.

6. Provide guidance and support to educators and parents on strategies to facilitate communication development in the virtual learning environment.

7. Participate in virtual IEP meetings and other team meetings as needed.

8. Stay current with best practices and research in the field of speech-language pathology.

 

Qualifications:

1. Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.

2. Current license to practice Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Virginia.

3. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).

4. Previous experience working as a school-based SLP or in a related setting preferred.

5. Knowledge of virtual therapy platforms and technology for remote communication.

6. Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially in a virtual environment.

7. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

8. Commitment to providing culturally responsive and equitable services to students.
