Remote School Psychologist Openings in Delaware
Position Overview
We are looking for a licensed and compassionate Remote School Psychologist to provide virtual support to K12 students across Delaware. In this fully remote role, you will conduct psychological assessments, collaborate with educators and families, assist in IEP development, and offer mental health guidance to help students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in telehealth services, knowledgeable about Delawares education regulations, and dedicated to fostering equitable and inclusive learning environments.
Responsibilities

Perform virtual psychoeducational assessments for students referred for special education services, covering cognitive, behavioral, academic, and social-emotional domains.

Analyze assessment results and write clear, detailed reports that meet Delaware Department of Education standards.

Take part in IEP meetings and other student support discussions to share findings and help develop appropriate interventions.

Provide remote consultation to teachers, families, and school staff on behavioral supports, classroom accommodations, and tiered intervention strategies (MTSS/RTI).

Assist with implementing positive behavior support plans and mental health resources.

Participate in crisis response and remote risk assessments as needed.

Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with IDEA, FERPA, and Delaware regulations.

Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including special educators, counselors, and related service providers.

Stay informed on best practices in school psychology and telehealth service delivery.
Qualifications
Licensure & Education
-
Masters, Specialist, or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from a NASP-accredited program.

Active Delaware School Psychologist license or eligibility to obtain licensure in Delaware.

Strong understanding of Delaware DOE special education guidelines, IDEA, and Section 504.
Experience & Skills
-
At least 2 years of experience working as a school psychologist in K12 settings.

Proficient in conducting assessments, interpreting data, and report writing for diverse student populations.

Experience delivering services through telehealth platforms and virtual assessment tools.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills suited for remote work environments.

Ability to build rapport and effectively engage students, families, and school teams virtually.

Knowledge of Delaware-specific special education processes is preferred.
Preferred Skills & Attributes

National Certification as a School Psychologist (NCSP) is a plus.

Bilingual abilities, particularly English/Spanish, are highly valued.

Experience supporting underserved or rural communities.

Training or experience in trauma-informed care, culturally responsive assessment, or equity-driven practices.
