Virtual Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) Full Time | Alabama

Soliant and VocoVision are currently seeking a certified Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to provide virtual instructional support to students across Alabama. This is a full-time, remote position for the 20252026 school year and offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the academic growth and independence of students with visual impairments.

Position Details:

• Job Title: Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI)

• Location: Remote (must hold Alabama credentials)

• Schedule: Full Time (3040 hours/week)

• Start Date: 20252026 School Year

• Contract: 1099 Independent Contractor

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction and consultative services via a virtual platform

• Adapt curriculum and materials to meet individual student needs

• Conduct assessments and contribute to IEP development

• Collaborate with general and special education staff, parents, and service providers

• Provide training and support on assistive technology as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Education for the Visually Impaired

• Active Alabama TVI certification

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Experience with remote instruction and assistive tech (preferred)

• Comfortable working independently in a virtual setting
