About VocoVision:
VocoVision is looking for a passionate Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to provide virtual support to K-12 students in Louisville, Kentucky. You will be delivering tailored instruction in braille, adaptive technologies, and mobility skills to visually impaired students, helping them succeed both academically and socially in a remote learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer specialized virtual instruction in braille, assistive technology, and other essential skills for students with visual impairments.
• Develop personalized IEPs (Individualized Education Plans) for each student, focusing on their specific needs and goals.
• Collaborate closely with parents, general education teachers, and other school professionals to assess and adjust learning strategies.
• Actively participate in IEP meetings to ensure students with visual impairments receive the support and accommodations they need.
• Provide guidance and resources to teachers for integrating visually impaired students into their classroom environments.
• Ensure all records are up to date and adhere to Kentuckys special education standards.

What You Bring:

• Valid certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired in Kentucky.
• A degree in Special Education (Bachelors or Masters) with a focus on visual impairments.
• At least two years of teaching experience with visually impaired students (experience with teletherapy is a plus).
• Proficiency with assistive technology tools and virtual teaching platforms.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a remote setting.
• Reliable internet connection and a professional, quiet work environment.
