We are in search of a compassionate and skilled Virtual Sign Language Interpreter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will facilitate communication between deaf or hard-of-hearing students and their educators, peers, and staff during online learning sessions. Your contributions will be vital in creating an inclusive and effective educational environment.

We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Remote Sign Language Interpreter to become an essential part of our team. In this role, you will bridge communication gaps between deaf or hard-of-hearing students and their educators during online classes. Your work will significantly contribute to creating a welcoming and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Valid certification in American Sign Language (ASL) interpreting (RID, NAD, or equivalent)
• Previous experience interpreting in educational environments is preferred
• Knowledge of IEPs and educational terminology is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work autonomously and effectively in a remote setting
• Strong commitment to promoting an inclusive educational environment

Applicants should be comfortable working as an Independent Contractor. Candidates will be required to pass a tech screening that ensures sufficient Wi-Fi, download speeds, and Zoom capabilities. contractors must obtain Professional Liability insurance before the start of assignment.
