Work-From-Home Deaf and HOH Teacher - 25 hours/week
Calling all South Dakota licensed remote Deaf and Hard of Hearing teachers, we have virtual school openings right now, for the summer, and this upcoming school year for a fully remote position based in Rapid City, SD. VocoVision Virtual DHH Teachers:
- Must be SD licensed Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
- Have a completed Master's Degree program in DHH Teaching
- Are fluent in ASL
- Have at least 2 years of recent classroom experience
- Enjoy the flexibility of independent contracting and 100% Work-from-home positions
- Are equally compensated for direct and indirect services
- Have unbridled access to a full developed, established Teletherapy platform via VocoVision
- Get to utilize Clinical and Technology management team throughout assignments
- Works with parents/guardians to develop and provide an appropriate Special Education Program to eligible students with disabilities
- Demonstrate prompt and regular attendance
- Complete designated follow-up procedure for students referred for special education service
- Develop, implement, monitor, and review the Individual Education Program (IEP) of each student on the caseload, at least annually
- Compiles, maintains, and submits all required records
- Provides educational services according to the guidelines of the program and through the established delivery model for service
- Use special methodology for instruction, according to the population needs (for example: ASL, SEE, TC, Auditory/Oral communication strategies)
- Assure all due process procedural safeguards are afforded to students and their parents/guardians
Use carefully designed behavior management strategies, as indicated - Administer, on an on-going basis, evaluations of student progress toward mastery of established goals and objectives
- Serve as a resource to the general education teachers who teach students served in the general education setting
- Maintain prompt and professional communication with parents
- Perform other duties as assigned by appropriate administrator
