Overview
VocoVision is seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide virtual therapy services to students throughout Massachusetts. This remote position offers an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on students' lives while enjoying a flexible work environment.
Position Details
- Location: Fully Remote (Massachusetts-based)
- Contract Type: Full-time, 1099 Independent Contractor
- Schedule: Flexible within school hours, including time for indirect services
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active Massachusetts state SLP license and/or teaching certification as an SLP
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience as an SLP in school settings
- Proficiency in teletherapy delivery and familiarity with online platforms (e.g., Zoom)
- Strong problem-solving and adaptability skills
- Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal
- Capacity to work independently and collaborate effectively in a virtual team environment
- Cultural competence to serve Massachusetts' diverse student population
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive speech and language evaluations via teletherapy
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students with diverse communication needs
- Conduct engaging and effective online therapy sessions
- Foster collaboration with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and progress
- Actively participate in virtual IEP meetings and contribute to the development of educational plans
- Adapt therapeutic strategies and materials to optimize effectiveness in an online learning environment
- Stay informed about Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education requirements and advancements in speech-language pathology
- Provide culturally responsive services to Massachusetts' diverse student population
- Adhere to all MA DESE guidelines and regulations for special education services
- Contribute to the implementation of Massachusetts' Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework
- Participate in professional development activities to maintain licensure and stay current with best practices
