Overview

VocoVision is recruiting an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide virtual therapy services to students across North Carolina. This remote position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse student population while enjoying the benefits of a flexible work-from-home arrangement.

Position Details

  • Location: Fully Remote (North Carolina-based)
  • Employment Type: Full-time, 1099 Contract
  • Work Schedule: Flexible within school hours, including time for indirect services

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
  • Active North Carolina state SLP license and/or teaching certification as an SLP
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as an SLP in educational settings
  • Proficiency in delivering teletherapy services and familiarity with online platforms like Zoom
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a virtual environment
  • Cultural competence to serve North Carolina's diverse student population

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations remotely
  • Design and implement individualized treatment plans for students with various communication disorders
  • Deliver engaging and effective teletherapy sessions
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to support student progress
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and student progress
  • Participate in virtual IEP Team meetings and contribute professional insights
  • Adapt therapy techniques and materials for effective online delivery
  • Stay informed about North Carolina Department of Public Instruction requirements and advancements in speech-language pathology
  • Provide culturally responsive services to North Carolina's diverse student population
  • Adhere to all NC DPI guidelines and regulations for special education services
  • Contribute to the implementation of North Carolina's Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) framework
  • Participate in professional development activities to maintain licensure and stay current with best practices
