Overview
VocoVision is recruiting an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide virtual therapy services to students across South Carolina. This remote position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse student population while enjoying the benefits of a flexible work-from-home arrangement.
Position Details
- Location: Fully Remote (South Carolina-based)
- Employment Type: Full-time, 1099 Contract
- Work Schedule: Flexible within school hours, including time for indirect services
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Active South Carolina state SLP license and/or teaching certification as an SLP
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as an SLP in educational settings
- Proficiency in delivering teletherapy services and familiarity with online platforms like Zoom
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a virtual environment
- Cultural competence to serve South Carolina's diverse student population
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations remotely
- Design and implement individualized treatment plans for students with various communication disorders
- Deliver engaging and effective teletherapy sessions
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and student progress
- Participate in virtual IEP Team meetings and contribute professional insights
- Adapt therapy techniques and materials for effective online delivery
- Stay informed about South Carolina Department of Education requirements and advancements in speech-language pathology
- Provide culturally responsive services to South Carolina's diverse student population
- Adhere to all SC DOE guidelines and regulations for special education services
- Contribute to the implementation of South Carolina's Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework
- Participate in professional development activities to maintain licensure and stay current with best practices
