Employment Type: Full-Time, Temporary (2 Mat Leave Coverage) - Independent Contract

Job Description:

VocoVision is seeking a passionate and qualified Speech-Language Pathologist for a full-time, remote position providing speech therapy services to elementary school students. This role will cover two back-to-back maternity leaves, with a caseload primarily consisting of young students in need of speech-language support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech-language therapy services to elementary school students via teletherapy.
  • Manage caseloads that include students with diverse needs and varying levels of support.
  • Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Work with IEP teams to assess, plan, and implement individualized treatment goals.
  • Provide bilingual speech services, with approximately half the caseload requiring bilingual speech in their IEPs.

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual in Spanish (required).
  • Active Speech-Language Pathologist licensure in New York (required).
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students, especially in a school-based setting.
  • Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and the ability to work effectively in a virtual environment.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and communicate with diverse teams.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience with IEP development and implementation.
