Role Overview: We are excited to invite applications for a passionate Teacher of the Visually Impaired to join our expansive network in Washington. In this role, you will provide vital teletherapy services that help students build essential skills in braille, independent living, and key academic subjects. Our team is committed to supporting you throughout your career journey, ensuring you feel valued and empowered in your role.

Key Duties:

  • Facilitate engaging teletherapy sessions for K-12 students experiencing visual impairments.
  • Educate students in core academic areas, braille literacy, and essential life skills.
  • Collaborate with families and educational staff to develop customized learning strategies.

Job Specifications:

  • Start Date: Immediate
  • Work Schedule: Part-Time
  • Caseload: K-12 students

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Education for Visually Impaired Students.
  • Valid Teaching Certification in Visual Education from the State of Washington.
  • Prior experience in virtual teaching is a plus, though not required.

Requirements:

  • Must have personal liability insurance and be comfortable working as an independent contractor.
  • Access to a reliable home computer with high-speed internet.
  • Successful completion of a basic technology screening is necessary.
