Position Details:

Full-Time
Immediate Start
Caseload: 5 students

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for visually impaired students using remote, adaptive teaching methods.
Provide virtual instruction in orientation and mobility, along with other key adaptive skills.
Collaborate with parents, teachers, and professionals to meet each student’s vision-related needs.
Stay up-to-date with assistive technologies and incorporate them into online lessons.
Foster an inclusive, supportive virtual learning environment for students with visual impairments.

Qualifications:

Certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) in Kentucky
In-depth understanding of visual impairments and their effect on learning
At least 2 years of experience working with visually impaired students
Proficiency with Zoom and other online platforms
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
