Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist (Remote, School-Based)

Position Type: Full-Time, Temporary (2 Maternity Leave Coverage) - Independent Contractor
Location: Remote (Serving New York students)
Start Date: Immediate
Caseload: Elementary School Students

Position Overview:

VocoVision is seeking an experienced and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist. This position is a temporary, full-time role designed to cover two back-to-back maternity leaves, focusing primarily on providing speech therapy to elementary students in need of language support.

Key Duties:

  • Deliver speech-language therapy services via teletherapy to elementary students.
  • Manage a diverse caseload with varying levels of needs and support.
  • Work closely with educators, school staff, and families to ensure effective therapy delivery.
  • Collaborate with IEP teams to assess, create, and implement individualized goals for students.
  • Provide bilingual therapy services, with half of the caseload requiring Spanish-language support as outlined in their IEPs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Fluent in Spanish (required).
  • Current Speech-Language Pathologist license in New York State.
  • Experience working in a school-based setting with elementary-aged students.
  • Comfortable using teletherapy platforms and working in a virtual environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently.

Preferred Experience:

  • Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs.
