Position Details:

• Part-time (1-3 hours per week)
• Immediate start

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for visually impaired students using remote, adaptive teaching methods.
• Teach orientation, mobility, and other adaptive skills via virtual platforms.
• Work with parents, educators, and a multidisciplinary team to address each student's vision-related needs.
• Stay current with assistive technologies and incorporate them into remote lessons.
• Create an inclusive and supportive online learning environment for visually impaired students.

Qualifications:

• Experience teaching students with visual impairments
• Valid Alabama teaching certification
• In-depth knowledge of visual impairments and their impact on learning
• Proficiency with Zoom and related technology
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
