Position Details:

Full-Time
Immediate Start
Caseload: 5 students

Responsibilities:

Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with visual impairments using remote, adaptive teaching techniques.
Provide virtual instruction in orientation and mobility, along with other essential adaptive skills.
Collaborate with parents, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to meet each student’s vision-related needs.
Keep up-to-date with assistive technology and integrate it into online lessons.
Cultivate an inclusive and supportive online learning environment for visually impaired students.

Qualifications:

Certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) in Kentucky
Strong understanding of visual impairments and their impact on learning
At least 2 years of experience teaching students with visual impairments
Proficiency with Zoom and other digital platforms
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
