Remote Speech-Language Pathologist (Temporary Assignment)
Position: Virtual Speech-Language Pathologist
Location: Remote (for Washington state school district)
Start Date: December 2, 2024
End Date: February 14, 2025 (covering leave of absence)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Caseload: Approximately 35 students for caseload management; direct therapy to around 60 students
Site(s): 1 elementary school, with potential for additional locations
Note: Applicants do not need to reside in Washington but must hold a valid license in both their home state and the state of employment.
Job Overview:
VocoVision is looking for a qualified Virtual Speech-Language Pathologist to provide remote services to elementary school students during a temporary leave of absence. This position spans from December 2, 2024, to February 14, 2025, and includes managing a caseload of approximately 35 students while delivering direct speech therapy services to approximately 60 students.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee a caseload of 35 students, ensuring proper documentation and reporting
- Deliver direct speech therapy to around 60 students
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to create and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Conduct virtual assessments and evaluations as required
- Maintain communication and offer support to students, families, and school personnel
Requirements:
- ESA (Educational Staff Associate) certification in Speech-Language Pathology from Washington State
- Strong references highlighting professional experience and competencies
- Ability to work independently in a virtual setting and effectively engage with students and school staff
- Previous experience working with elementary students is preferred
Compensation:
- Hourly rate: $53-55, covering both direct and indirect services, which equates to an annual salary of $92-95k (based on a 10-month contract).
