As our Super Signer and Communication Guru, you'll be the hero our DHH students need! You'll be their guide to a world of expressive communication, empowering them to conquer challenges and unlock their potential. Whether you're teaching sign language, facilitating communication, or cracking the code of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), your mission is clear: help our students find their voice and flourish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use your super sign language skills to communicate, educate, and inspire our DHH students.
  • Develop customized communication plans that empower each student's unique abilities.
  • Be the DHH students' go-to hero, providing guidance, support, and the occasional high-five.
  • Collaborate with a dynamic network of educators, speech therapists, and communication enthusiasts.
  • Lead workshops and share your super communication powers with students, teachers, and families.
  • Document progress and celebrate the milestones reached with your superhero flair.
  • Embrace continuous learning and growth in the world of communication.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Deaf Education or a related field.
  • A passion for helping DHH students thrive.
  • NH state teaching certification for Deaf and Hard of Hearing (or the ability to obtain one).
  • Superb sign language skills or a commitment to learn and master ASL.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and collaboration abilities.
  • A sense of humor and an infectious positive attitude.
